چکیده

Weeds represent a major constraint for successful pea cultivation, resulting in loss of green yield and quality. Two field experiments were carried out during the winter seasons 2018/2019 2019/2020. The objectives current study to evaluate efficacy pendimethalin, butralin, fluazifop butyl, bentazon, hoeing on weed control, their impact growth, nodule formation, yield, quality, storability. results indicated that butyl most effective treatments control terms lowest values total dry weight. bentazon herbicides didn’t affect active nodules number, plant height, weight, root length, or number leaves branches. Additionally, resulted highest per protein content. Butralin pendimetalin achieved butralin also height Bentazon-treated peas had chemical compositions chlorophyll, carotenoids, sugar, vitamin C contents pods at harvest cold storage 4 °C 95 RH 45 days. No detectable residues four under detected pods, suggesting can be safely consumed time harvesting. It concluded formation was not affected significantly by application tested herbicides, except pendimethalin butralin. Furthermore, positive quality could used effectively controlling broadleaf weeds, it simultaneously selective safe herbicide cultivation.

Dean E. Riechers Corresponding author. Department of Crop Sciences, University of Illinois, Urbana, IL 61801; [email protected] Two studies investigated off-target exposure of soybean to plant growth regulator (PGR) herbicides and determined if simultaneous exposure to PGR herbicides and labeled soybean herbicides increase PGR injury. The PGR herbicides, 2,4-D, clopyralid, and dicamba, as well ...

Physical rice grain quality as affected by biophysical factors and pre-harvest practices

Varietal purity and proportions of grains with brown spots, fissured grains, chalky grains andwhole grains in a rice sample are important grain quality attributes influencing consumers'preference and price but little information exist on how these grain quality attributes are affectedby biophysical factors and pre-harvest practices. Several authors have studied in isolation theeffect of biophys...

Microbial Weed Control and Microbial Herbicides

Microbial weed control represents an innovative means to manage troublesome weeds and utilize the naturally occurring biological herbicides produced by soil microorganisms. These compounds kill or hinder the growth of weeds so that beneficial plant species can gain a competitive advantage. The vast diversity of microorganisms in our environment is largely untapped, and the potential discovery a...
